In 2018 the Hispanic Women's Corporation a national
organization for latina leadership , awarded Jackie its HW MC Latina Leadership Award for being an outstanding role model forLatinas everywhere. Previous awardees have included Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, Congresswoman Lucille Roybal Allard, Eva Longoria, Christina Saralegui, Maria Elena Salinas and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, the Hon. Henry Cisneros.
A former undocumented immigrant for many years, Jackie Hernandez lived in the shadows working as a waitress/busgirl and cleaning bathrooms only to overcome the many obstacles facing her daily to learn and grow to be an excellent mother and wife, achieve YouTube and internet stardom and embarking as an entrepreneur becoming the FIRST Latina Youtuber to launch her own self funded cosmetics company J’DEZ.
Jackie Hernandez is one of the most influential beauty digital content creators in the Hispanic market with a growing global digital base of over 5 million people that keeps growing daily. Jackie's energetic YouTube videos showcase her electrifying and relatable personality and have been viewed worldwide more than 341 million times. In 2016 she earned the Play Awards nomination for “Sexiest female YouTuber". In 2015 Jackie was featured in "People en Español" as a trailblazer in style and beauty.
Since its creation in 2012 Jackie's main YouTube channel “Jackie Hernandez” which she produces, directs and stars in has become a go to beauty Youtube destination around the world for both women and men. Jackie has been invited to speak in numerous events including Hispanicize’s Dime summit, Beautycon LA and NY, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's Annual Leadership Congress, MUA Internacional CDMX and navy others.
Jackie has always had a bright mind and continues to build and grow in her career. In 2023 she launched a podcast “Sinceramente Jackie” with the purpose of empowering latina women to reach their full potential and goals. Also in 2023 she became partners with entrepreneur Rachel Medina and is currently working on a platform called “SHE E O LATINA”. The purpose of this platform is to help women with brilliant minds to start on their entrepreneurial journey. This project truly reflects Jackie’s passion to help other women become the best version of themselves.
